CANADIAN
CURLING ASSOCIATION DONATIONS
January, 2011
Dear Members and Friends
of the Lennoxville Curling Club,
Our club has greatly
benefitted from members’ financial donations in the past several years.
We have only to look around to see how much has been accomplished at
minimal cost thanks to our many skilled volunteers.
We reached most of the
goals set out by the former Building Committee.
The ice-shed renovations were completed; the kitchen was renovated; new
flooring was installed upstairs; the locker rooms and washrooms have been
significantly improved; we have been able to construct a first floor washroom
and ramp thanks to added contributions from local sponsors and the provincial
government. Significant repairs
were made to the ice cooling system; a fact that emphasizes that funds need to
be available at all times for potential problems.
Our club is aging.
It is already 34 years since our last major expansion to the building and
as you can see, we need to address the external appearance of our building. Our
sign was recently repaired and repainted but will eventually need to be changed.
We are seeking your help
again this year. Donations made to
the Lennoxville Curling club through the Canadian Curling Association entitle
you to a tax receipt (donations of $100.00 or more).
We welcome all contributions no matter how small.
Priorities for the next
few years include:
- ü Launching a membership campaign to draw new members
-
ü
Repainting
the exterior of our building
-
ü
Addressing
plumbing/water pressure issues
-
ü
Improving
club security to prevent vandalism and theft.
